ASUS ZenFone 4 Max Spotted in SIRIM
Malaysia Getting Zenfone 4 Max Soon – When the governmental standards agencies start seeing products, then a release date isn’t far off. Showing up at the FCC in the US means anywhere from about 4 weeks to 8 weeks before hitting store shelves. Some companies can do FCC and get a release date sooner, but for Asus this is our observation.
Back at Computex 2017 event, ASUS did not reveal any successor to its range of Asus ZenFone 3 devices, which were launched at the same event in last year. The Taiwanese tech company may be expecting for the right time to publish its latest devices: an unusually impressive ASUS smartphone has just been registered with SIRIM (Scientific and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia).
In SIRIM’s database, Dynamics Distribution and ECS ASTAR registered a smartphone with the model number ZC554KL. Many consider that this is the new ASUS ZenFone 4 Max, which has been reported for quite some time now.
Much like its ancestor, the ASUS ZenFone 4 Max is said to be packing a 5.5-inch display, though its resolution is a bit lower at 1280 x 720. Away from that, rumors are also proposing that the unannounced smartphone will be packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 series chipset.
Beyond these features, nevertheless, not much else is known about the new Asus ZenFone 4 Max. But looking by its predecessor, it will be expected to be a mid-range smartphone with big capacity and long battery life; that’s one of the main selling points of Asus’ “Max” smartphone.
The ASUS ZenFone 4 Max is supposed to be officially revealed sometime next month in July 2017. The chances are, it will be presented beside Asus’ other smartphones, which should include the Asus ZenFone 4 smartphone too – no, not the one that was released back in 2014.
